The location is nice, and the breakfast with a nice seaview is an excellent start of the day. The price is rather cheap, as in general are all prices in Malta, compared with other EU destinations.
I asked two times for an electrical plug-in adaptor, since I could not switch on the TV in the room, without success. The TV remote control is available at the reception, leaving a deposit.
The staff was great; everyone that I encountered was very courteous and helpful. The breakfast was quite good, and I thought it was a perfectly comfortable hotel considering how little I paid.
Excellent location, good value for money, free interent. Overall, if I get same deal and same sea view, I would come back.
Air condition was extremely noisy and didn’t do the job. It was ok at this time or the season but could cause serious inconvenience during the Summer. You can’t sleep with open balcony as it’s very noisy. Also not all rooms have sea view. I was placed first to the room at the back overlooking the wall despite the fact that I’ve paid extra for the sea view. This has been quickly rectified though. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. No tea/coffee facilities neither fridge in the room.
beautiful old building, an authentic antique interior
wi fi is only reception
Location is great - just by the bay, facing harbour. There are many shops, restaurants and cafes nearby, Valetta ferry terminal and bus terminal are within 5 min walk - there are direct buses to Mdina and Gozo Ferry terminal . Our room was comfortable and clean, staff ok, beautiful view from the terrace on 7th floor. "Economy room" is quite cheap which makes it good option for budget travellers. Generally - worth recommending.
Breakfast could be better, especially bread was rather bad. Only one small, old lift, usually it's faster to use stairs. Bed mattress was too soft and not very comfortable. Not the big problems (especially regarding price), but could be annoying sometimes.
It was in the right location for our onward journey to Valletta; it was very clean and comfortable, with efficient and pleasant staff and great value for money.
Loved warm reception from staff in Hotel Reception and downstairs Bar. Welcomed you home each evening. View from my balcony was spectacular no matter what time day or night. Towels and room cleaning daily and friendly. Some furniture is a little tired and needs replacement. Lift a bit strange to get used to. Food very good for the price. I spent 14 nights in a great place Thanks to all at the Milano Due.
Not much really. Furniture needs replacement. A comfortable chair in each room would be a help for older people. Shower handle is easily knocked and danger of scalding is a safety issue.
Location was pretty convenient. You have two bus stops near the hotel. Rocky beach is also accessible by 15 minutes walk. Some staff were very helpful and nice (Mister Karl and the Serbian woman thank you!). Being just married couple we appreciated silent and comfy bed ;) The view from the seventh floor was quite picturesque.
Breakfasts were the worst part of our two weeks stay! They served almost the same food everyday. Only eggs preparation kind differed. Sausages and ham were totally inedible. Pancakes were nice until I found mould in them! As usual juices were plain awful. As for fresh vegetables: fresh tomatoes were always available, but cucumbers were served once. Elevators were broken for half the times we stayed there. Be prepared to run upstairs (they serve breakfast at the 7th floor) and downstairs every morning. There was no free Wi-fi. And if you want to rent a safe it will cost you (2.60 eur per day)! Our room was totally not- soundproof. At nights you can hear new visitors shouting out loudly. Two windows we had were opening to the brick wall (not a pleasant view mind you). Bathroom was all in all ok but in our last several days there was constant strong sewer aroma after toilet flush.
convenient for bus stop, local shopping and views of the harbour.
bathroom was a bit dangerous as when the shower floor and the bathroom floor were wet they were extremely slippy. The plug in the sink did not fit properly and it was necessary to have the tap running whilst washing in order to keep the sink topped up. the stairs were not cleaned at all in the 5 days that we stayed.
Only good thing was the locoation
Lack of airconditioning - Bookings.com site said thotel had ac When we arrived temperatures in excess of 30 degrees to be told that the rooms only had ac on 3 times a day for 2 hours. No relief whatsoever, ac definately did not work, totally spoilt our last day in Malta. Absolutely so disappointing. Also not able to log onto the internett, advertised as having WIFI but no, did not work even when the kind staff offered to help. No offer to refund my 2 euros.
Staff very helpful, clean room, nice view from breakfast room
Deposit of € 10 for the tv remote and having to pay for wifi
The hotel is well positioned regarding transport facilities and is close to the waterfront. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The location is excellent. Sliema is an excellent place to stay... The ferry to Valleta is about 100m from the Milano Due and a bus stop at about 50m. There's more life I.E. shops and restaurants a bit further along the road but then you'd get all the noise that goes with it... So for me the Milano Dues location is ideal. The reception staff varied alot but generally were quite good - meaning helpful when asked.... Though not particulary smiley.
Apart from the location this isn't a place to recommend. The room was small, the shower tinier than any I've ever used - and I'm not a big person... 5'8" & slimline - the breakfast was quite good,,, though the surly restaurant staff acting like prison guards - maybe its because they're from some Eastern bloc country...Russian perhaps... I paid a small fortune for the room but to be fair it did have a fantastic view... For a 'nominal charge' on each... I could've had the use of a safe, a remote control for the tv and internet... But I was loathe to give them any more money, they're just being greedy. As for there being a jacuzzi and sports equipment... I couldn't find it. Oh and the lift... There is one and if you're an impatient person, yes, its slow. I certainly wouldn't recommend the hotel - not for what I paid anyway... I.E. £70 a night!
the room outlook at the front
shower to small
Good service and attention, they do the best to make you feel comfortable, excellent view
Th shower is small.
